We are seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Manager to join our PDS team in Guangzhou. In this role;you will oversee the planning;coordination;and execution of capital projects for international clients;ensuring delivery on time;within budget;and to the highest standards of quality;safety;and sustainability. You will act as the primary on-site representative for the client;managing contractors;consultants;and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects;from pre-construction through closeout;including scope definition;scheduling;cost control;quality assurance;and risk management.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the client;design team;general contractors;subcontractors;and regulatory authorities.
• Review and approve contractor submissions;including shop drawings;material submittals;and method statements.
• Monitor and report on project progress;costs;and risks through regular updates to internal teams and clients.
• Ensure strict compliance with local building codes;safety regulations (including China’s occupational health and safety standards);environmental requirements;and client-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship;adherence to specifications;and safety compliance.
• Manage change orders;claims;and disputes in collaboration with the client and legal advisors when necessary.
• Foster strong relationships with local contractors;suppliers;and government agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Promote JLL’s commitment to sustainability;innovation;and best-in-class project delivery practices.Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;Construction Management;Architecture;or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of construction management experience;with at least 5 years focused on commercial;industrial;or high-end fit-out projects in mainland China.
• Proven track record managing projects valued at RMB 100 million or more.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese construction practices;local regulations (especially Guangdong/Guangzhou);and approval processes.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken); Cantonese is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g.;MS Project;Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional certification such as PMP;RICS;or equivalent is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently;solve complex problems;and lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within the Greater Bay Area as required by project demands.What We Offer
