Contract type: International (expatriate) assignment. Fixed-term, residential contract. You will be required to relocate for this position

Language requirements: English (upper-intermediate level)

At Eni, we are looking for a HULL & LQ Construction Representative to join Shanghai Eni Engineering Consulting Ltd. in China. You will be responsible for supporting and coordinating development project activities relevant to the Floating Production storage and offloading Unit (FPSO), with focus on construction, completion and commissioning issues of new oil/gas production facilities, ensuring that construction, commissioning phases and startup operations of FPSO are conducted in safe, effective and efficient manner with meeting the company target and to the satisfaction of all parties.

To support all operation readiness activities and assurance review from initial concept through to project sanction, and possibly through project execution, ensuring that the design meets project objectives for cost, schedule, safety and environmental impact. Assure all operation aspects and risk opportunities to optimize the construction activities in the field, have been address and mitigate the risk

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of supervisors and construction engineers ensuring that construction activities proceed safely, efficiently and in line with project targets.
  • Ensuring all activities carried out by the contractors follow environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Ensuring all works are properly executed in compliance with project specification, QA/QC procedure and standards.
  • Ensuring efficient interface between contractors and vendors
  • Apply, in close coordination with the Construction Manager, the construction plans to deliver the project task highlighting any deviation and suggesting remedial action.
  • Ensure and follow up work progress monitoring and issuance of the related support documentation on daily weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure the review of the contractor’s documentation (eg.: technical reports, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc)
  • Interface and coordinate with Construction and MC teams in completion priorities to support the commissioning works.
  • Support execution during commissioning and start-up, providing technical assistance as required

Skills And Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities
  • Experience in offshore construction of oil / gas field development projects
  • Previous upstream FPSO construction and hook up experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in quality control and HULL structures will be beneficial
