Engine Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Break down key properties from vehicle/engine to responsible system and components.

Responsible for concept design, layout and technical-route evaluation of engines core subsystems, create drawings, technical documents and specifications

Works with the CAE team performs simulation analyses; optimizes design schemes based on the results and continuously improves performance and reliability.

Create DVP plans and define tests needs on rig, bench and vehicle for responsible system and components. analyses test data, identifies root causes of failures and drives design improvements.

Collaborate with other systems to ensure proper engine, powertrain and vehicle integration.

Collaborate with Cross functional teams such as purchasing, production and aftermarket,

Establish or improve internal design standards and process.

Keep tracking new technology, Drive benchmarking and technical innovation for continues improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree or above in Internal Combustion Engine / Automotive Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years experience on engine development, Mastery of Engine design theory, Familiar with the structure and working principles of HD diesel engines; in-depth knowledge of the design essentials, interface relationships and typical failure modes

Familiar with engine development processes and engineering methods such as DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T.

Familiarity with design requirements imposed by casting, forging, machining and assembly processes; possesses DFM / DFA awareness.

Proficient in CAD design tools, with complete capabilities in modeling, assembly and drawing release. CATIA is preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills, experienced in 8D, FMEA, fault tree analysis

Fluent English. Capable of participating in English meetings to present solutions independently, proficient in reading and creating English technical documents.

Good cross‑functional communication and coordination skills
