Job Description
- Participate in design sessions, implementation plans, resolve technical issues, review code and provide feedback
- Build and maintain simple and intuitive APIs’ for a very large developer community within Nike.
- Encourage innovation with new technologies and elegant solutions
- Advocate technical direction, define best practices and principles
- Onboard new team members
- Ensure successful quality software with emphasis in these areas:
- Security
- Privacy
- Reliability
- Availability
- Maintainability
- Performance
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 2 years of additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience building cloud based, high volume, highly available, concurrent and performant applications (required)
- Nodejs proficiency (required)
- Solid understanding and experience integrating with WeChat and other Social/Payment applications (required)
- Experience designing APIs and creating RESTful microservices (Required)
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and design patterns
- Experience writing automated tests using tools like JUnit, ScalaTest, Spock or Specs
- Experience with applications hosted in Amazon Web Services AWS
- Experience delivering software in a Scrum development process
- Knowledge of the Netflix Open Source Stack
- Fluency in English
