Your Role

As a fast-growing technology company Aptiv is always interested in hiring new talents. We are looking for talented Machine Learning Experts who are familiar with state of the art machine learning techniques like deep neural networks and foundation models from academia or industry. With a good mathematical and scientific background, this specialist shall create new AI/ML solutions for end-to-end autonomous driving problems which perform beyond the current state of the art.

You will work together with experts from around the globe with various professions to finally bring these new systems to the group newest automotive platforms.

Your Background

• Master or Ph.D. in computer science, machine learning or related fields
• Excellent analytical skills for machine learning tasks and a good mathematical background
• Software engineering experience, ability to work from scratch based on the state-of-the-art techniques as well as on existing systematic code basis
• Professional experience in at least one of following fields:
• Training (e.g., pretraining, finetuning, post-training) and inference of foundation models (e.g., LLM, MLLM, VLM) for Image recognition and generation projects
• Autonomous agent frameworks with LLMs/VLMs that interacts with APIs, tools, etc.
• Deep neural networks for detection, segmentation fusion and other applications
• Learning-based trajectory prediction task for vehicles and/or robots
• Automatic ground truths generation with AI-based pipeline
• Ability of tracking latest industry/academic advancements and adaption for needs
• Systematic, goal and outcome oriented working style
• Professional experience (2 years +) in AI development frameworks PyTorch and/or

Tensorflow

• Professional Skills in Python, while C++ is a plus
• Fluent in communication with English.

Prefered

• Record of publications in relevant conferences (CVPR, NIPS, ICCV, ICRA, Fusion, and others…) and scientific background on relevant topics
• Industrial experience of implementing autonomous driving solutions.
