• Project &
  • Program LeadershipLead complex, cross-functional data governance programs from initiation to rollout, including scope definition, planning, execution, and benefits realizationManage multiple workstreams (e.g. data ownership, data quality, metadata, data standards, policies & controls) with clear milestones and dependenciesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high stakeholder satisfaction

• Data Governance Framework Design &
  • ImplementationDesign or co-design data governance frameworks, including:Data ownership & stewardship modelsData quality management (standards, KPIs, issue management, SLA)Data classification, lifecycle, and usage principlesBusiness & data glossary / common data languageTranslate governance principles into operational processes, delivery playbooks, and tooling requirementsDrive adoption by embedding governance into existing data development, analytics, and business processes

• Stakeholder &
  • Change ManagementAct as a bridge between business, data, IT, security, and compliance teamsFacilitate decision-making forums (e.g. data councils, working groups) and resolve conflicts pragmaticallyDrive change management activities to ensure governance is understood, accepted, and used, not just documented

• Delivery Governance &
  • Execution ExcellenceDefine clear delivery goals, KPIs, and success metrics for data governance initiativesTrack progress, risks, dependencies, and issues; proactively manage escalationsEnsure governance deliverables are actionable, traceable, and continuously improved based on feedback

• Continuous Improvement &
  • Best PracticesBring in industry best practices (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM/DCMM, ISO, etc.) and adapt them to the organization’s contextIdentify opportunities to simplify governance models and improve delivery efficiencyCoach junior team membersRequired Skills &
  • ExperienceProject Management8 years of project / program management experience, with senior or lead-level accountabilityProven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiativesStrong command of delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)Excellent planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication skillsData Governance Expertise (Must-have)Hands-on delivery experience in data governance initiatives, not only conceptual knowledgeDemonstrated ability to design data governance frameworks and lead their implementationSolid understanding of:Data ownership & stewardship, Data quality management, Metadata, data standards, and business glossary, Data lifecycle, access, and usage controlsExperience working with data platforms, analytics, or data engineering teams is a strong plusCommunication &
