• Metrology: Working knowledge of production equipment principles (e.g., high-temperature furnaces, automated presses, CNC grinders, coating chambers, chemical baths) and precision m Major Duties

• Process Development, Validation &
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Monitor and troubleshoot ramp-up phase production; resolve process bottlenecks, capability shortfalls, and yield excursions until the process achieves target Cpk and stable throughput. Lead process feasibility assessments during the early design phase; translate product specifications into manufacturable process flows, equipment concepts, and process parameter ranges.

• Process Parameter Optimization &
  • Process Capability Enhancement Deploy Statistical Process Control (SPC) across critical process steps; monitor control charts for trends, shifts, and out-of-control conditions; initiate immediate containment and correction. Conduct regular process capability studies (Cp/Cpk); drive actions to elevate process capability indices to meet or exceed internal and customer-specific requirements.

• Yield Improvement &
  • Non-Conformance Root Cause Analysis Own process yield metrics (first-pass yield, final yield, scrap rate); perform Pareto and trend analysis to prioritize defect reduction efforts. Drive focused projects to reduce scrap, rework, and customer returns through process stabilization, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and parameter refinement.

• Process Documentation, Standardization &
  • Engineering Change Control Author, release, and maintain authoritative process documentation including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, parameter setup sheets, and inspection/quality standards. Ensure all process documents are accurate, revision-controlled, and aligned with shop-floor practices; lead training of production personnel on process requirements and critical control points.

• Equipment, Tooling &
  • Metrology Engineering Support Review and validate tooling/fixture designs from a process perspective to ensure thermal, mechanical, and chemical compatibility, as well as dimensional repeatability. Ensure measurement systems (manual gauges, automated optical inspection, CMM, etc.) are suitable for their intended use by conducting or overseeing Measurement System Analysis (MSA / Gauge R&R).

• Cross-Functional Collaboration &
  • Technical Leadership Serve as the process authority within cross-functional teams involving R&D, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering (IE), Production, Planning, and Maintenance.
