研发工程师 R&D Engineer-CNT Process

Position Summary --Cabot is seeking a talented engineer to join as a Process R&D Engineer in the CNT Process R&D team supporting battery materials business. --This role is in Zhuhai (GuangDong Province) with significant opportunity for innovative technology and process development to improve production efficiency and scale up.

Job Description Summary --Independent researcher responsible for the delivery and/or leadership of projects of moderate complexity/scope in areas of materials, products, processes and/or applications. --Has strong knowledge within a technical functional discipline with a moderate level of expertise and understanding to underlying concepts and principles. --Employs thorough scientific approach, including understanding of literature, mechanistic thinking, hypothesis setting, experimentation, analysis, and reporting. --Emphasis on research and synthesis of data into actionable information; planning and designing/ adapting methods; improving methodology. --Provides guidance and training to more junior employees. May participate in select customer facing activities and interact with Sales/Marketing or product/process development groups, and/or external customers. Job Responsibilities --In this role, you will be an independent process engineer responsible for development of next generation process technology for enhanced productivity and product quality as well as enhancing the sustainability profile of the production process. --You will work with our process and product development, global engineering and operation teams to do projects of moderate to high complexity/scope.

A successful candidate will be someone who: --Conducts independent research to understand and deliver solutions to technical and commercial problems in equipment or process design and research investigations. --Sets hypotheses and devises technical approaches to complex problems. --Lead to design, plans, schedules, build up and conduct experiments to validate the hypotheses and scale up the equipment and process. --Generates data, conducts advanced statistical analysis, and organizes and interprets data to establish and support new process, materials, and/or application learnings and scale-up process and equipment. --Develops new process equipment and works with various vendors and service providers to advance research on increasing capital efficiency and productivity of operations. --Contributes to the design of novel parts and assemblies to facilitate development of equipment and machines. --Supports existing and future operations by participating in troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements --PhD, Major in Chemical Engineering, with strong academic records and publication. 1-3 years working experiences post graduation is a plus. --In-depth knowledge on heterogeneous catalysis; kinetic modeling; Fluid Bed Reactor(FBR); spray technology is a plus. --Project experiences on advanced data mining, machine learning/AI adoption, simulation (for example, using Ansys/Comsol software) is preferred. --Communication & Presentation Skills. Ability to effectively engage in verbal and written communications. Fluent communication skill in English is a must.
