Security Engineer

We are looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen Cobo security capabilities across detection, offensive security, incident response, automation, and AI. In this role, you will work on real security challenges across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and internal systems. You will also have the opportunity to build security automation tools and AI Agents that improve how we discover vulnerabilities, investigate threats, and respond to security incidents.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex security problems, experimenting with new technologies, and turning security insights into practical, scalable defenses.

Role Responsibilities:

• Build and continuously improve capabilities across security detection, analysis, incident response, and automated remediation.
• Develop security automation tools and AI Agents to accelerate vulnerability discovery, security analysis, and incident investigation.
• Conduct penetration testing, security assessments, adversarial exercises, and continuous validation of security controls.
• Identify and assess security risks across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, and internal systems.
• Research emerging attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and threat trends, and translate them into practical detection and defense capabilities.
• Participate in security incidents from investigation and root cause analysis through remediation and post-incident improvement.
• Work closely with engineering and other teams to turn security requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Role Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of experience in security engineering, penetration testing, incident response, or a related security discipline.
• Minimally a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of attack techniques, vulnerability classes, and defensive security methodologies.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience building security automation, internal security tools, or AI-assisted security workflows.
• Working knowledge of cloud, network, system, and application security.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently take an idea from investigation to implementation.
• A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to get hands-on.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, especially when working across technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building AI Agents, AI-powered security tools, or security automation platforms.
• Experience in threat hunting, vulnerability research, detection engineering, or offensive security.
• Contributions to open-source security projects, vulnerability disclosures, CVEs, bug bounty programs, or security research.
• Experience working in Web3, fintech, financial infrastructure, or other high-security environments.
