The Rol eWe are looking for a Tech Platform Engineer with a strong software engineering background and a DevOps mindset to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you won't just maintain databases—you will treat infrastructure as software and databases as a Product. You will drive automation, scalability, and performance by leveraging Python and modern tooling to build robust data platforms, streamline infrastructure lifecycles, and guarantee the reliability of our distributed datastores

.As part of a global team with members across multiple regions, our daily operations, syncs, and collaboration happen entirely in English. Fluent verbal and written English is essential to ensuring we move fast and stay aligned as one team

Primary Responsibiliti

• esSupport, optimize, and scale our core data stores, including Cassandra, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability and optimal performanc
• e.Code internal tools, scripts, and operators to automate database management, eliminating manual work across provisioning and scalin
• g.Treat database infrastructure as code (such as configurations and schema migrations),, ensuring predictable, repeatable, and automated lifecycle
• s.Work closely with development teams to architect new applications and review data mode
• lsPerform research into database performance issues and come up with solutions to address those concern
• s.Own, track and solve database-related incidents and service requests within SLA
• s.Perform auditing, monitoring, capacity management and security patching of our databas
• e.Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of databases and platform
• s.Bridge the gap between our China Engineering teams and external audit entities to successfully navigate and secure critical certifications like MLPS and other technical compliance requirement

Qualification/Ski

• llsB.S. in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experien
• ce.Hands-on experience managing and scaling at least one of our core datastores: Cassandra, MongoDB, or PostgreS
• QL.Strong programming skills (Python is a plu
• s).Experience treating infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and working with containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docke
• r).Knowledge of backups, restores, recovery mode
• ls.Experience operating within major Cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and deep knowledge of Linux syste
