Test Development Engineer

The Test Development Engineer role is defining, designing, implementing, and verifying accessory test system and test tools used in the manufacturing process，understanding and capturing dependencies between new products and production test requirements and translating production test requirements HW and SW requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for translating product feature and manufacturing processes into executable and traceable production test steps.
• Responsible for the performance and reliability of production test systems introduced with new product launches.
• Responsible for maintaining and securing sufficient yield of existing production test systems.
• Take part in root causing activities in case of production issues and securing production capacity is recovered.
• Drive the tactical activities required to maintain a contemporary and technical up-to-date technology stack on production test systems.
• Work closely with peers to ensure new product test systems are delivered in compliance with our test system strategy.
• Work closely with product development teams to understand the product designs and production test requirements.
• Work closely with the production test operators to understand user requirements from operator point of view.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of electrical, acoustical, and visual production test methods.
• Solid understanding of HW and SW interfaces between measurement equipment, measurement software (such as Test Stand and LabVIEW), and devices under test and hereunder product test functionality provided in firmware or hardware.
• Analytic and structured approach to investigating of HW and SW related issues in a production environment.
• Practical experience (hand-on) from working with manufacturing processes or production test.
• A quality mindset and ability to drive improvements in processes and people on continuous basis.
• Flexibility to adopt to changes in a dynamic and multicultural company
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline such as electronic engineering or similar – alternatively a more practical education such as Technician within the field of electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience from a similar role – if education level is Technician, then at least 5 years of experience is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English both in written and verbal form.
• Experience from the Medical industry is preferred but not required.
