Alwyn Johnson

I am a dedicated teaching professional with over ten years of teaching and training experience across various subjects and age groups. I have continually enhanced my qualifications by pursuing advanced education, most recently earning a high-standard MBA in Energy and Sustainability.

My pedagogical approach is student-focused. I aim to foster student engagement and create a positive classroom environment while ensuring that learning outcomes are met for each subject. Outside of my professional life, I prioritize work-life balance through regular exercise. I still participate in running and triathlons and enjoy hiking in the beautiful countryside of China, as well as seeking adventure in more remote destinations.

My career resembles a tapestry, with a focus on seizing opportunities for growth and self-improvement. After deciding to close my small business, I returned to school to pursue a teaching career. I have consistently updated my education to enhance my teaching skills and credentials.

Over the past ten years, I have primarily taught at the university and college levels, while also working with professionals and corporate groups. I aim to maximise my career potential, as I still enjoy the challenges and achievements that come with pursuing new opportunities.

My educational background is entirely within the business field. I began with an undergraduate diploma and progressively advanced my studies, culminating in a Master's degree in Business Management and, most recently, an MBA in Energy and Sustainability. I pursued an Energy and Sustainable direction due to the significant potential it offers for driving meaningful change in how businesses operate, enabling them to grow while also prioritizing sustainability.

As a nature lover, I am deeply committed to maintaining a viable environment.

In addition to my business qualifications, I hold a TEFL certification, which allowed me to enter the teaching field. I have further enhanced my teaching credentials by completing all Cambridge Teacher's Knowledge certifications. This training ensures that I am equipped to implement high-level teaching practices and effectively address the diverse needs of students in the classroom.
