I am a South African who is currently based in China. I have been teaching in China almost five years. I have been teaching English at different levels, from kindergarten, primary level and middle school.
I also taught mathematics grade 3 for one year (Cambridge curriculum). At my current job I teach Economics grade 7 and 8 Cambridge IGCSE curriculum (as extra classes) to help me gain experience of teaching the subject post my PGCE completion and assist the students by offering different style of teaching and learning. I offer more than just a classroom teacher as I often like to engage with students outside of the classroom, during sports time or arrange economics discussion sessions with students.
I am very energetic, passionate about teaching and enjoy working in teams or groups. I have good communication skills, very good in planning, very patient, a great critical thinker and good in problem solving. I can adapt easily to new environments and can do well under pressure.
I also have 2 years' experience as a tutor and junior lecturer in Economics at a South African University. I am a big sports fan, following different sporting codes with soccer as my most favourite.
