I have been teaching English to children aged 3-12 in Beijing since 2013 in various capacities. Most of that time was spent in a training school teaching children across the entire age range, and for a few years I worked as the main regional trainer for the Beijing before moving over to a homeroom type position.

I completed a remote learning PGCEi in 2024 with distinction.

I am now interested in continuing the homeroom type position but in a primary school setting that I believe gives me more opportunities to develop my teaching abilities.

2022-present - Starlearners/Reading Garden Kindergarten - Homeroom Teacher

• Prepare and deliver English, reading and phonics classes as well as some art, wood working and cooking classes
• Accompany students throughout the day and on field trips, discuss issues and questions with them and provide holistic English environment
• Formative assessment to determine individual needs of students and to adapt teaching approach
• Communicate with parents

2020-2022 - First Leap - Regional Trainer

• Create training packages
• Deliver regular training sessions and programs as well as more intense training programs for new products and subjects
• Orientation of new teachers
• Observation and assessment of new teachers to determine training needs

2013-2020 - First Leap - Senior Instructor

• Teach classes to students aged 3-12 in subjects such as art, logical thinking/maths, world culture, science, phonics
• Enhance provided learning materials to better achieve learning objectives
