Hi, I'm Rui!
I've spent the last two years building my career in administrative and program support, with a focus on managing the employee lifecycle, providing client advisory services, and facilitating cross-team collaboration. I’ve especially enjoyed working within multicultural settings—supporting government-funded projects and handling internal operations, from smooth onboarding and offboarding to maintaining data accuracy and upholding organizational compliance.
I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Asian Studies, where I deepened my understanding of Japanese language and culture. I’m fluent in both English (IELTS 8.0) and Mandarin, and I really value the chance to work with people from different backgrounds—it’s something that continuously strengthens my intercultural communication skills.
Some areas I’ve built practical experience in include:
HR & administrative operations, like managing employee transitions, Microsoft 365 setup, and improving processes
Handling data with care—keeping records accurate, protecting privacy, and preparing reports for leadership
Coordinating events and workshops that bring people together
Connecting clients with the right community and government resources to help them thrive
What motivates me most is creating solutions that are efficient, inclusive, and truly people-centered. I'm now exploring new opportunities in HR, people services, or administration where I can help organizations succeed through thoughtful operations and meaningful support.
