We are seeking a skilled

Python Backend Developer to design, build, and optimize backend services in a

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

environment.

This role focuses on data-driven APIs, cloud-native architectures, and real-time data processing

, working closely with data teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

🔹

Experience:

Mid to Senior level experience as a

Backend Developer

.

Proven experience building backend services in production environments

.

🔹

Programming & Frameworks:

Strong proficiency in

Python

.

Hands-on experience with

FastAPI for building scalable APIs.

🔹

Cloud & Data Platforms:

Experience working with

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

.

Hands-on experience with:

• BigQuery
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud SQL

🔹

Data & Systems:

Familiarity with data-centric backend systems

(databases, data warehouses, APIs).

Experience building and integrating data pipelines and streaming solutions

.

Engineering Practices:

Experience writing unit and integration tests

.

Knowledge of best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting

(Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring).

🎯

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI in a GCP environment.

🔹 Build and optimize data extraction and processing components in collaboration with data teams.

🔹 Develop streaming data processing solutions and integrate them with existing systems.

🔹 Build and maintain real-time data pipelines ensuring efficient data flow.

🔹 Integrate backend services with

GCP data storage solutions

(BigQuery, Cloud SQL, etc.).

🔹 Apply cloud-native best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting.

🔹 Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to microservices design.

🔹 Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders

.

🔹 Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices

Spark / PySpark

🔹 Knowledge of

API authentication and authorization
