Junior .NET Full Stack Developer – C# / Angular

Position Description:

We are seeking a motivated Junior .NET Full Stack Developer to join our Payment Integrity team in Bogotá, Colombia. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software developer to gain hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting secure, scalable enterprise healthcare applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, and SQL Server.

You will work alongside experienced developers, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders in a collaborative Agile environment. You will also have opportunities to expand your technical skills, contribute to modern engineering practices, and leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Gemini Code Assist to support coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Location: Bogotá, Colombia

Work arrangement: On-site at CGI's Bogotá office

How you'll make an impact

Develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, and SQL Server

Build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

Assist in developing RESTful APIs, backend services, business logic, and database integration components

Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic using SQL Server and Entity Framework Core or similar ORM technologies

Implement application features based on user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria while following established development standards

Participate in code reviews, debugging, defect resolution, and application performance improvements with guidance from senior developers

Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated test cases to support application quality, security, and reliability

Explore and apply AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Gemini Code Assist to support coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating AI-generated outputs

Collaborate with developers, technical leads, QA engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support healthcare Payment Integrity solutions and Agile delivery activities

Contribute to technical documentation, application support, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing knowledge of secure coding, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices

What you'll bring

At least 1 year of software development experience using C# and .NET, or equivalent experience gained through internships, academic projects, or practical software development projects

Basic to intermediate knowledge of C#, object-oriented programming, and .NET technologies such as ASP.NET Core, Web API, or MVC

Familiarity with frontend development using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and Microsoft SQL Server

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP, and web application development concepts

Basic understanding of Entity Framework Core or comparable ORM technologies and database integration

Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts, debugging techniques, version control, and Git

Familiarity with unit testing, automated testing concepts, and software quality practices

Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and receive feedback

Ability to work on-site at CGI's Bogotá, Colombia office and collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams

Desired qualifications / Strongly Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Exposure to .NET 6, .NET 8 or later, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud

Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other DevOps tools and practices

Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, application logging, monitoring, design patterns, SOLID principles, and secure coding practices

Exposure to healthcare, health insurance, claims processing, Payment Integrity, or financial systems, including awareness of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy concepts

Experience or interest in using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, or similar technologies to improve software engineering productivity
