We are seeking a Lead Python Developer to lead delivery of backend solutions built with Python, FastAPI, and Django alongside a modern web stack. You will work with distributed teammates to design scalable systems, uphold quality through testing, and help ship releases using Docker and cloud-native services. Create and improve backend components using current frameworks
Help define and evolve the architecture for scalable, reliable platforms
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and release new features
Analyze bottlenecks and resolve performance or stability issues
Follow coding standards to ensure long-term maintainability
Join roadmap reviews and provide input to technical planning
Assist with deployment activities and support release execution
Share expertise and champion continuous learning within the team
Extensive 5+ years experience building in Python, including FastAPI and Django for backend services
Leadership experience of 1+ year coordinating and coaching engineering teams
Strong knowledge of React and TypeScript for rich, dynamic front-end development
Experience designing PostgreSQL schemas and administering databases
Hands-on ability with Docker for containerizing and deploying applications
Strong focus on automated testing with solid unit and integration coverage
Experience operating in agile teams on complex, high-impact initiatives
Team-first approach with regular code reviews and collaborative delivery
Comfort working effectively with remote teams across multiple locations
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for tracking work and maintaining documentation
Understanding of S3, Lambda, AWS AKS, and CloudWatch for cloud infrastructure management
Advanced English proficiency (B2+ upper-intermediate or above), spoken and written
Experience using GitHub Actions for CI/CD and workflow automation
Knowledge of integrating Jira with GitHub for smoother project execution
Understanding of DevOps practices to optimize delivery and operations
Familiarity with financial services or Treasury topics like payments, wire transfers, reconciliations, and cash management
