Travel Distribution Engineering Services (SER) within Amadeus focuses on delivering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers. Our customers include travel agents, large online travel websites, and other travel-related businesses. We work closely with various departments to integrate and deploy customized solutions, ensuring seamless operations and enhanced customer satisfaction. The team is involved in the entire lifecycle of customer solutions, from initial consultation and design to implementation and ongoing support. In addition to our hub in Bogota, we also have hubs in APAC (Thailand, India, and Taipei) and Europe (Poland, Spain and France).

Summary Of The Role

• Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer providing technical leadership in AWS infrastructure design and implementation, driving automation (IaC), Kubernetes and container platforms, multi‑cloud capabilities, monitoring, security compliance (PCI DSS), and participate in on‑call production support rotation.

In This Role You’ll

• Provide infrastructure, technical leadership in architecture, design and implementation in AWS (Public Cloud).
• In‑depth knowledge of AWS key services including Compute, EKS, Messaging & Streams, Storage, AWS Monitoring, Networking & LB, IAM, etc.
• Experience with orchestration, configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform and CloudFormation)
• Provision, configure and maintain public cloud infrastructure defined as code
• Set up process, services and tools around Public Cloud.
• Competence with proxy servers like NGINX, Apache, etc.
• Competence with Containers and Kubernetes
• Windows & Linux OS troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
• Knowledge with MySQL, NoSQL (Mongo etc.)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus & Grafana
• Lead/participate in multi‑competency projects to deliver value‑oriented changes.
• Evaluate cutting‑edge technologies and integrate them into existing systems.
• Driving Innovation and opportunities
• Knowledge in multi‑cloud environments such as Azure along with AWS is a plus
• Implement, monitor and maintain PCI DSS requirements in IT area
• Experience working in a 24X7 environment supporting both implementation and production ready environments

About The Ideal Candidate

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related; or equivalent work experience
• +3 years of experience in SRE/DevOps roles, containerization, automation and monitoring
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• ITIL V3/V4 Certification
• Good communication skills in English
• Strong Collaboration and Co‑ordination skills
• Self‑starter, Proactive and can work with minimal supervision
• Analytical and Conceptual Thinking
