Electrical Engineering student with a focus on control systems, industrial automation, and embedded systems. Experienced in PLC programming, PID control, data communication protocols, and industrial process analysis. Skilled in tools such as MATLAB, Power BI, Simulink, and SAP. Proactive, adaptable, and passionate about technology, problem-solving, and teaching, with experience in both academic and social-impact projects.
I am currently an advanced Electrical Engineering student at the University of Costa Rica, with a focus on electronics and control systems. My experience has been centered on industrial automation, process control, data analysis, and the development of technological solutions applied to engineering. I have worked on academic projects related to cascade PID controller implementation, industrial process automation using PLCs, communication between microcontrollers through CAN and I2C protocols, and the analysis of automated systems for process optimization.
Additionally, I participated in the development of a technical proposal for the automation, operation, and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant under a SICOP public tender process. In this project, a PLC-based automation architecture was proposed together with Power BI tools for operational monitoring and compliance reporting.
Professionally, I currently work as a Project Assistant and Coordinator at the University of Costa Rica’s Office of Social Action, specifically in the “Tropicalización de la Tecnología Costa Rica” project. In this role, I coordinate initiatives aimed at bringing engineering solutions and programming education to vulnerable communities across the country. My responsibilities include organizing and leading workgroups, coordinating activities, and supporting technology-based social impact projects.
I also have experience in inventory control, where I managed raw material and finished product records using Microsoft Excel and SAP. During this experience, I developed Power BI dashboards to analyze inventory indicators and collaborated with the operations team to reduce discrepancies between physical and system inventories.
From a technical perspective, I have experience with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice, PSpice, PLECS, Power BI, and Microsoft Office, as well as programming experience in Python and C++, and PLC-based control logic development. I consider myself a proactive and adaptable person with strong teamwork skills and a strong interest in continuing to grow professionally in areas related to automation, sustainability, data analysis, and industrial technology.
