Role summary The SQA Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality through verification and validation activities, including the design, execution, and review of test cases. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams such as Software Developers, Business Analysts, Support Engineers, and other Quality Assurance Engineers to understand product requirements, review technical designs, and validate system functionality.

The SQA Engineer manages defects throughout their lifecycle and maintains required testing documentation in compliance with regulatory and quality standards applicable to medical device software. This role contributes to delivering high-quality software solutions by supporting efficient testing processes, identifying quality risks, and ensuring alignment with real-world customer usage scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

Role expectations

• Execute software testing activities, including functional and automated test coverage, to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Perform software verification and validation (V&V) in accordance with defined quality and regulatory standards.
• Manage and track software defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and resolution.
• Conduct API-level testing to validate integrations and system interactions.
• Analyze test execution results and logs, identifying potential quality risks and communicating findings through test reports.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to define effective test strategies and improve overall software quality.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

What we're looking for

Typically Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Typically, 2–4 years of experience in Software Testing is required
• Advanced English communication skills (B2 verbal and written).
• Technical knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance is required

Preferred

• Experience in Python is preferred.
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases is preferred.
• Understanding REST API and SOAP creation and consumption is preferred.
• Understanding of KAFKA based integration is preferred.
• Understanding of basic SQL queries is required.
• Willingness to learn various functionalities and be responsible for its quality.
• Ability to drive and influence projects to meet deadlines, client expectations, and quality assurance standards.
