What You'll Bring

What You'll Bring

• Expert proficiency in Python or Java, with the ability to design clean, modular, and maintainable codebases for large-scale systems
• Proven experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance applications, including backend services and data-intensive workflows

Strong debugging skill

• Experience with Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer strongly preferred), including DAG architecture, dependency management, backfills, and performance optimization is preferred
• Experience in File Transfer Service is an advantage
• Expertise in Terraform for provisioning, versioning, and managing complex cloud infrastructure on GCP, following infrastructure-as-code best practices
• Understanding of scheduling and orchestration concepts, including cron patterns, retries, SLAs, idempotency, concurrency limits, and failure recovery strategies
• Strong expertise in database management, including schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning across large datasets
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including GCS, IAM, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and experience designing cloud-native, fault-tolerant architectures
• Solid understanding of application and cloud security best practices, including:
• Authentication and authorization (IAM, service accounts, role-based access control)
• Data encryption at rest and in transit

• Drive large-scale workflow orchestration strategy, optimizing DAG design, execution efficiency, and cost across thousands of concurrent workflows
• Lead adoption and best practices for managed Airflow and cloudnative architectures, influencing platform standards and long-term technical direction
• Architect and optimize cloud-native solutions on GCP, leveraging services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, and IAM to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-efficient systems
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability, defining SLAs, monitoring strategies, alerting, and capacity planning
• Embed security and compliance into platform design, ensuring secure access controls, encryption, and adherence to enterprise and regulatory standards

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
