Agnes Cordon

Throughout my career as a math teacher, I have been committed to creating engaging and effective lesson plans that help students build a strong foundation in math concepts and skills. I have experience teaching a wide range of secondary-level math courses, including algebra, geometry, and calculus, and I am skilled at adapting my teaching style to meet the unique needs of individual students.

I have experience working as a bilingual math teacher in both middle school and high school settings. In addition to teaching math, I have served as a homeroom teacher for some secondary grade levels, which has allowed me to develop strong relationships with my students and gain a deeper understanding of their needs.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to making curricular accommodations to meet the needs of students with diverse learning needs, including those with ADHD and autism. I have provided after-school support to students who need extra help and have seen firsthand the impact that individualized attention can have on their academic progress.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have also led extracurricular activities such as math olympics and personal finance clubs. These experiences have allowed me to engage with students in a different context and help them develop skills beyond the classroom.

Overall, I am passionate about teaching math and helping students develop a love for the subject. I am committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, and I believe that my diverse experiences have prepared me to be an effective and empathetic educator.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, which backs up my expertise in mathematics. I am currently working on the Licenciatura research project to further enhance my skills and knowledge as a math teacher.
