Daniel Pacheco

Daniel Pacheco is a computer engineer with more than 25 years of professional experience in software development, most of it related to Object-Oriented Programming in Java Enterprise applications. I’ve been involved in many roles during my career, including over 10 years as an architect and in tech leadership positions, with developer responsibilities in all of them.

His experience is mainly in Security, Banking, and E-Commerce fields, also he worked on Health systems, Content Relationship Managers (CRMs), and Content Management Systems (CMSs), making use of open-source frameworks like Spring, Webworks, Struts, JSP, Web Services, EJB’s, and JAAS, and some commercial tools and frameworks like RSA security, Websphere, Rational Rose, and many others.

Lately, he has been working with CMS and specifically with AEM, utilizing OSGI, Sling, JCR, and Spring; and more recently, Micro Services experience with docker and AWS environments, implemented with both jersey and spring boot. Also has DevOps experience with pipelines in Azure and Bitbucket, as well as AWS EC2 instance creations and configurations.

Different experiences for different contracts like:

• Worked primarily on performance issues and smart entity manager determining if read or write was needed for transactions, new features for the app and the transition of the app to the UK. 
• Health kiosk application to receive visitors, and visit patients to specific areas in the health facility. The application was first implemented with mongoDB for faster development and then refactored to MySQL, using Spring data rest templates and MVC architecture to expose microservices developed with Spring boot; on the FE side, an angular app was consuming them. Spring security was used and a gateway microservice using Eureka registry and Ribbon for load balancing, then when it was moved to AWS, we used their gateway. Spring security service was authenticating against an old system, in case it was successful our service generated another session for the client. 
• With a proprietary microservices framework with Jersey for a financial prediction application, where we had to start the business logic services development from scratch until the delivery of the MVP, also worked on performance improvements on the DB, cache, Reddis, microservices responsibility division and async calls to them from BE, async threads in spring, rabbitMQ design among many others.
• A POC was made to expose some tables into CRUD management using PostgREST. 
• NodeJS as BE, was used to do a CRUD app for mongoDB, and the FE was made with React. 
• PrimeFaces and Angular were used on other projects as support.
• DevOps experience in Azure and AWS, automating CI/CD for a new region, bash scripts, and dockerizing new servers for Java, python, and other apps. Amazon RDS as database, load balancers, certificates
• Groovy and Grails, Spock for testing and refactoring, separation of service and data layers
• Trainings: leading, remote working and leading, security, hippa, diversity.
• Blackbird: Mulesoft anypointstudio microservices with tests.
• LoanMarketplace: spring microservices, graphql, devops improvements and refactorings, github actions CI/CD, AWS, terraform.
• POC with ArcadeDB and Axon Framework for CQRS platform, all glued with spring microservices
