About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C++ Developer for Sensorsystems to join our client, a leading provider of innovative sensor, reconnaissance, and defense systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing high-performance software solutions tailored for modern sensor and surveillance applications. Your work will involve designing scalable software architectures, implementing modern communication interfaces, and developing real-time systems that operate reliably in technologically advanced and safety-critical environments.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in computer science or a related field with a focus on software development. You should have several years of professional experience in developing comprehensive software solutions using modern C++ standards (C++17 or newer).

Experience with multi-threaded applications, high standards of software quality, maintainability, and clean coding practices are essential. Familiarity with agile development methodologies, code reviews, and modern development tools such as Git, CMake, and CI/CD environments is required. Excellent analytical skills, proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team are vital.

Proficiency in German at a native level in both spoken and written communication is necessary. Additionally, candidates should meet the personal prerequisites for security clearance in security-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

As a Senior C++ Developer, your responsibilities will include developing and enhancing modern software solutions with customized feature extensions based on C++. You will contribute to innovative, service-oriented software architectures for comprehensive observation, surveillance, and sensor systems. Developing performant software components compatible with Linux and Windows platforms will be a core part of your role.

Conducting code reviews and actively ensuring high-quality standards in software development is expected. You will employ modern technologies and tools such as Git, CMake, MQTT, and current C++ standards to streamline development processes. Planning and executing software development activities following agile methodologies, including build and test automation, will be essential.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to continuously improve and deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable software solutions for safety-critical applications will be a key aspect of your work.
