Cloud Database Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Set up and operate PostgreSQL database services on Kubernetes to ensure reliable data availability.
• Develop and implement automated processes for rolling out and managing database solutions using GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate closely with the Managed Kubernetes team to integrate database solutions optimally into the Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Plan and implement updates, security patches, and new product versions for continuous improvement and security.
• Contribute to the expansion and optimization of additional database services on cloud platforms.

What You'll Need

• Completed IT education or degree (e.g., IT specialist for system integration, computer science, cloud computing).
• Profound knowledge of PostgreSQL databases and Kubernetes.
• Initial experience with PostgreSQL HA solutions.
• Passion and enthusiasm for Linux and OpenStack.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
• Team spirit, proactiveness, and a structured way of working.
