Cloud Database Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design and operate PostgreSQL database services on Kubernetes to ensure reliable data availability.
• Develop and implement automated processes for database solution rollout and management using GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate with the Managed Kubernetes team to integrate database solutions into the Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Plan and implement updates, security patches, and new product versions.
• Expand and optimize additional database services on cloud platforms.

What You'll Need

• Completed IT education or degree in relevant fields (e.g., Computer Science, Cloud Computing).
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL databases and Kubernetes.
• Initial experience with PostgreSQL HA solutions.
• Passion and enthusiasm for Linux and OpenStack.
• Very good German and English language skills.
• Team player with a proactive and structured approach to work.
