As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and advanced ML/AI initiatives. You’ll work with modern technologies in the Azure ecosystem and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality data solutions.

• *In this role you will:
• Design and build high‑performance data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark to extract, transform, and load data into Azure Data Lake Storage and other Azure services.
• Implement robust data models, data quality checks, and governance practices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Take ownership of integrating, consolidating, cleansing, and structuring large datasets to support business insights, reporting, and ML/AI use cases.
• Collaborate with data professionals, management, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and support successful platform implementations.
• *What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Proven expertise with Databricks, Apache Spark, ELT/ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, version control, and modern data engineering practices.
• Experience working with various databases and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and take on diverse responsibilities.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, autonomy, and a self‑starter mentality.
• Experience in finance or accounting domains is a plus.
• Fluency in German is required.
• Must be based in Germany (remote role).
