Senior Data Engineer

The Role
- Design and develop demanding data platforms and advance Snowflake as a strategic data platform – technically, methodologically, and organizationally.
- Conceive and implement scalable data pipelines (Batch & Streaming) in cloud environments and develop future-proof data architectures (e.g., Lakehouse, ELT, streaming, and event-driven architectures).
- Develop best practices, reference architectures, and technical blueprints around Snowflake, and share your expertise through internal training and reviews.
- Serve as a technical point of contact and project lead for Snowflake, actively expanding the offering and collaborating on go-to-market strategies.
- Contribute expertise to bid conceptualization and technical client meetings.
- Work closely with clients from strategy to implementation.
What You'll Need
- Several years of professional experience in data engineering, ideally in consulting or platform projects, with responsibility for projects and subject areas.
- Expertise in Snowflake, including platform fundamentals of data modeling, performance, cost optimization, security, and governance.
- Proficiency in Big Data and streaming tools like Apache Spark and Kafka, orchestration frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster), and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Enthusiasm for cloud solutions, especially AWS or Azure, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Drive to build a topic sustainably, engage people, take responsibility, work independently, think conceptually, and exhibit confident demeanor.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility to advise clients nationwide on-site.
