Data Engineer

Senior Machine Learning Engineer A leading global manufacturer of premium mobility solutions is looking for an experienced technical professional to join their international team in Munich. The role focuses on developing privacy-first data and model solutions for next-generation edge AI products, specifically enhancing intelligent personal assistant technologies through robust data engineering and machine learning practices.

What you'll be doing

• Design data pipelines for ingestion, curation, pseudonymization, and versioning
• Implement reproducible training and finetuning builds for edge device models
• Set up experiment tracking and artifact registries for various model variants
• Build evaluation suites covering latency, memory, safety, and hallucination KPIs
• Optimize dataset construction for small LLMs using instruction tuning and synthetic data

What we're looking for

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in machine learning engineering with Python and PyTorch
• Strong software fundamentals in testing, profiling, and CI/CD practices
• Practical knowledge of large-scale evaluation, drift detection, and regression testing
• Proficiency in English; German language skills are considered an advantage
