About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate DevOps & Cloud Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our locations in Konstanz or Berlin. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud and platform infrastructures based on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.

Your role will involve automating infrastructure and operational processes to enhance stability, scalability, and long-term maintainability of our internal platforms. You will work closely with software developers and other technical specialists, contributing your expertise on infrastructure, reliability, and operational best practices to support our digital transformation initiatives. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency and resilience of our solutions, ensuring that our clients’ visions become reality through innovative technology deployment.

Qualifications

• A completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in developing and operating cloud-native platforms and infrastructures.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, from conceptual design to the deployment and management of complex clusters.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Pulumi and/or Terraform.
• Understanding of modern software development principles, with knowledge of Python being advantageous.
• Strong judgment and a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical challenges, even under time constraints.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations within regular working hours.
• Excellent command of the German language (minimum C1 level).

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate modern cloud and platform infrastructures utilizing Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Ensure the stability, scalability, and maintainability of internal platforms, continuously improving these systems.
• Automate recurring infrastructure and operational processes to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
• Implement and optimize monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Analyze technical disruptions and error patterns, identify sustainable solutions, and incorporate insights into platform development.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and other technical teams to integrate infrastructure considerations early in the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of standards and best practices for operating modern cloud and platform solutions.
• Participate in on-call duties to support system availability and reliability outside regular hours.
