The Role
- Design, implement, and operate the Privileged Access Management solution based on Teleport, securing privileged access to Kubernetes clusters, databases, and servers.
- Expand the multi-cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (including AKS) and VMware vSphere across multiple environments using Terraform, ensuring scalability and stability.
- Take responsibility for the operation and further development of the Kubernetes platform, including GitOps-based application deployment with ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Operate highly available PostgreSQL clusters on Kubernetes with CloudNativePG (CNPG) and the Crunchy Postgres Operator, ensuring performance, resilience, and data security.
- Drive automation with Ansible, the expansion of GitLab CI/CD pipelines, OpenTelemetry-based observability, and security/AI-supported automation solutions.
What You'll Need
- Several years of relevant professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Cloud Engineer with a focus on Kubernetes, PAM, and infrastructure automation.
- Successfully completed studies in (Business) Informatics, Information Security, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable MINT degree; relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, Azure) are a plus.
- Deep practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes (AKS an advantage), Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD/GitOps, PostgreSQL on Kubernetes (CloudNativePG, Crunchy Operator), OpenTelemetry, GitLab CI/CD, and ideally Teleport or similar PAM solutions.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, to confidently navigate an international, technically demanding environment.
- Analytical, structured, and security-conscious way of working, high degree of personal responsibility, strong team and communication skills, and an interest in modern, AI-supported engineering workflows.
