This role is focused on building and evolving modern cloud infrastructure that powers live, production gaming systems at scale. You will work in a fast-moving environment where reliability, performance, and automation directly impact the quality of real-time gaming experiences. The position centers on Google Cloud Platform, where you will design, deploy, and optimize infrastructure supporting high-availability services.
You will collaborate closely with developers to improve delivery speed, system stability, and operational efficiency. The environment is highly autonomous, with a strong emphasis on ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. This is not a legacy maintenance role — it is about shaping and scaling cloud-native systems that run real production workloads.
Accountabilities
- Design, build, and evolve cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Manage workloads using Compute Engine and Cloud Run for scalable service delivery
- Containerize applications and services using Docker for consistent deployments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or similar tools
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate provisioning and management
- Improve system reliability, security, performance, and observability across environments
- Collaborate with developers to optimize deployment workflows and release velocity
- Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Monitor systems and enhance observability using modern monitoring practices
- Support production systems ensuring stability, scalability, and resilience
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role supporting production systems
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise in Docker and containerized application environments
- Solid experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent tools)
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Understanding of networking, system design, and cloud architecture principles
- Awareness of security best practices in cloud environments (IAM, secrets, access control)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools is a plus (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and production issues
- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work independently in remote teams
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on delivering reliable solutions
- Fully remote role within Europe
