About The Role ATIS systems GmbH is seeking a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to join its team in Bad Homburg, near Frankfurt am Main. In this role, you will develop and maintain software build and delivery processes, support customer systems, and help keep repositories and system environments reliable and secure.

You will work closely with development and service teams, applying your experience with CI/CD, Linux administration, and automation to improve day-to-day operations. The position offers a meaningful degree of autonomy and the opportunity to contribute practical ideas for optimizing and standardizing the company’s systems and workflows. A hybrid working model is available, depending on the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in (Business) Computer Science or a comparable qualification, including relevant professional experience in IT.
• Practical experience with CI/CD environments and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Nexus.
• Experience using automation tools and scripting languages, including Ansible, Python, and Shell.
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with source control workflows.
• Experience administering Linux systems and working with RPM packaging.
• A structured, dependable approach to technical work and an interest in developing secure, standardized system environments.
• The ability to collaborate constructively with colleagues in development and service teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve software build and delivery processes to support reliable releases.
• Maintain and further develop artifact repositories, helping ensure that software components are organized and accessible.
• Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining customer systems.
• Automate recurring operational tasks, including provisioning, deployment, and monitoring, using suitable tools such as Ansible, Python, or Shell.
• Identify opportunities to optimize existing workflows and contribute ideas that improve consistency, efficiency, and reliability.
• Work closely with development and service teams to understand requirements and support effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of standardized, secure system environments.
