DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Vitus Commodities trades actively in electricity and natural gas contracts across European markets. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team. The role involves maintaining, automating, and enhancing production environments that support our trading systems. The position requires close collaboration with traders and software developers to ensure stability, reliability, and performance in real-time trading operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve production infrastructure supporting trading systems
• Automate operational workflows and deployment processes
• Ensure stability and performance of live trading environments
• Provide hands-on support for real-time systems
• Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve system reliability
• Collaborate closely with traders and developers to resolve time-sensitive technical issues
• Contribute to monitoring, incident response, and operational best practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a production environment
• Mandatory experience within energy, commodities, power trading, or financial trading environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based systems
• Solid scripting experience for automation and system tooling
• Experience supporting real-time or latency-sensitive systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
