Embedded Engineer

Location: Berlin – Hybrid

Contract: Freelance

Duration: Initial contract with potential extension

We're looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of next-generation embedded products for a leading technology company in Berlin.

You'll work closely with hardware and software engineers on the development, integration and optimisation of embedded software for innovative consumer hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++
• Work with Embedded Linux and hardware-level software
• Support device drivers, interfaces and hardware/software integration
• Debug and optimise software running on embedded hardware
• Contribute to system architecture, testing and product integration
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary hardware and software teams

Experience

• Strong commercial Embedded C/C++ experience
• Experience with Embedded Linux
• Good understanding of ARM-based embedded systems
• Hardware/software integration and debugging experience
• Experience with Yocto, device drivers or BSP development is advantageous
• Experience with audio, DSP or consumer electronics would be a bonus

Berlin-based hybrid working required.
