About The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a sharp critical eye and a commitment to accuracy. No journalism or fact-checking background required — just strong research instincts and a healthy skepticism toward unverified claims.

• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

• Verify AI-generated facts, statistics, and claims against reliable, authoritative sources
• Flag factual errors, outdated information, and unsupported or misleading statements
• Rate the accuracy and reliability of AI outputs using structured evaluation rubrics
• Document your sources and clearly explain the reasoning behind each fact-check decision
• Work across a wide range of topics — from current events and science to history, culture, and technology
• Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Strong research skills with the ability to find and evaluate trustworthy sources
• Naturally skeptical of unverified claims and motivated to get to the truth
• Detail-oriented and consistent in applying a systematic approach to your work
• Clear and concise written communicator
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No journalism, academic, or professional fact-checking experience required

Nice to Have

• Background in journalism, research, academic writing, or communications
• Experience with source evaluation, media literacy, or critical analysis
• Familiarity with AI tools or content platforms as an end user
