About The Role E.ON Grid Solutions GmbH is seeking a Frontend Developer to create modern web applications and intuitive digital experiences for energy and IoT solutions. In this role, you will use JavaScript and React to develop and deliver new features, helping users understand and work with complex data through clear, accessible interfaces.

You will contribute to frontend architecture, reusable components, and technical standards while collaborating closely with product, backend, and UX colleagues.

This is a two-year fixed-term position. It is suited to a developer who enjoys taking responsibility, contributing ideas, and using technology to address meaningful challenges in the energy sector.

Qualifications You have successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. You bring several years of practical frontend development experience, with strong knowledge of React and JavaScript. You are confident working with HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend technologies, and you understand how to build responsive applications for different devices and screen sizes.

You write clean, maintainable code and have experience with software testing approaches. You understand user-centered development and have an interest in design systems and consistent user interfaces. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes is expected; experience with Microsoft Azure is an advantage. Knowledge of IoT, energy, or B2B environments is also beneficial.

You work in a structured and responsible manner, communicate effectively, and collaborate well across disciplines. German language skills at C1 level or above and English skills at B2 level are required.

Responsibilities In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using JavaScript and React, delivering new functionality efficiently.
• Design intuitive user interfaces that make complex IoT and energy data easier to understand and use.
• Build reusable UI components, enhance frontend libraries, and help define and apply technical standards.
• Integrate REST APIs and connect frontend applications with backend systems to provide seamless user experiences.
• Improve application performance, responsiveness, usability, and overall product quality through ongoing refinement.
• Apply sound architectural principles, contribute to maintainable code, and support reliable testing practices.
• Work with product owners, backend developers, and UX experts to develop digital solutions that advance the energy transition.
