We're working with a leading investment management firm that bundles and coordinates securities portfolio management activities for a large German insurance and financial services group. They advise clients on all aspects of financial investment and provide diverse services, sales, and marketing for financial topics. They are looking for motivated individuals to help them continue to grow and innovate.
The Role
- Design and develop sophisticated applications using Java/TypeScript for frontend (Angular) and backend (Spring Boot)
- Architect and implement REST APIs and event-driven services, primarily with Apache Kafka
- Take technical responsibility for the stable operation and development of applications (DevOps)
- Work closely with Product Owners and external partners in an agile Scrum environment
- Actively contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve quality standards through testing and reviews
What You'll Need
- Completed degree in Computer Science, vocational training as an IT specialist, or comparable qualification
- Proven professional experience in application development with Java/TypeScript, ideally in the financial services industry
- Proficiency with modern tech stacks, e.g., Angular, Spring Boot, relational/NoSQL databases, and ideally Apache Kafka
- Routine use of tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Jira
- Strong understanding of Clean Code, Design Patterns, and agile methodologies like Scrum
- Communicative team player with excellent German and good English language skills
