About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team at Haufe Group. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in scaling our product offerings and enhancing the overall user experience for thousands of small and micro-enterprises.

Your primary focus will be on developing new workflows and processes that simplify order management, improve operational transparency, and deliver seamless customer journeys. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to challenge existing approaches and introduce innovative solutions, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of technological advancement.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to operate from your preferred location. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in person during our team days at our office in Freiburg im Breisgau on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess several years of comprehensive experience in building modern backend systems using Spring Boot and Java. A strong command of frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Material UI is essential to create cohesive and user-friendly interfaces.

You should have a solid understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, along with hands-on experience in database design, optimization, and migration projects. Familiarity with AWS cloud services and deploying scalable applications is required.

Experience with AI-native engineering and integrating AI-driven workflows into existing systems will be highly advantageous.

We are looking for a confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of bridging the gap between development, product management, UX, and other disciplines. Fluency in German (minimum C2 level) is mandatory, as effective communication within our teams is crucial to success. A proactive mindset, problem-solving ability, and a passion for innovative technology are key attributes for this role.

Responsibilities

• Take full end-to-end responsibility for developing and scaling new features and workflows that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate actively in discovery phases, delivery planning, and setting achievable milestones to ensure continuous progress.
• Work within a modern microservice architecture, ensuring reliable communication between services and maintaining system integrity.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools, frameworks, and approaches that support scalability and performance improvements.
• Contribute to the integration of AI agents and automated workflows, shaping the future of our product ecosystem.
• Support and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
