A Berlin-based healthtech company, are continuing to strengthen their engineering foundations as they scale an AI-driven platform used in live healthcare environments. The team currently sits at around 10 people, with plans to grow to approximately 20 this year, backed by strong investors and increasing customer adoption.
Their technology supports critical operational workflows for medical practices, where reliability, security, and system correctness are essential. As the platform scales, the business is investing heavily in its cloud, deployment, and security infrastructure.
They are now hiring a Senior Engineer who can take ownership of production systems and help shape the technical foundations for long-term growth in both software and infrastructure.
The role:
This is a senior individual contributor position with end-to-end responsibility for the company’s core platform and infrastructure tooling. You will design, build, and run the systems that support production workloads, with a strong focus on stability, security, and operational clarity.
The role is Berlin-based, operates on a hybrid model (4 days per week on-site).
You will:
- Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, using infrastructure-as-code
- Design and operate production systems with a strong emphasis on availability, security, and observability
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support safe and repeatable releases
- Take responsibility for end-to-end development using their stack: TypeScript + Python
- Extend and operate real-time communication.
- Build scalable integration infrastructure to support a large and growing customer base
Your experience:
- Professional experience using TypeScript and/or Python
- Proven ownership of production infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes, distributed systems, and operational best practices
- Practical experience with Pulumi or similar IaC tooling
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and security principles
- Several years’ experience in startup or scale-up environments
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, build-focused team with on-site collaboration
