About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development Department for Special Systems in the Composite sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the independent development and maintenance of applications within an agile environment, primarily supporting our insurance-related systems.

You will work closely with product owners and various stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional software solutions, ensuring high quality and adherence to best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement of processes and methodologies.

Qualifications The successful candidate should have a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, complemented by relevant professional experience. Profound experience in Java development, especially with Java and Jakarta EE, is essential.

Familiarity with modern development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is required. Practical knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is highly desirable. Additionally, experience with Jira and Confluence for daily work routines is important.

Knowledge of Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate high reliability, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset. Proficiency in German at a minimum C1 level is necessary for effective collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities As a Senior Fullstack Java Developer, your responsibilities will include the autonomous development and ongoing maintenance of applications in an agile setting, with a specific focus on insurance systems related to the composite sector. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand business needs and translate these into detailed user stories.

Engaging with various departments, you will ensure the optimal implementation of requirements, balancing technical feasibility and operational effectiveness. You will actively participate in improving agile processes and methodologies within your team and across projects.

Your role also involves code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high standards of quality and security. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous enhancement of existing systems and participate in innovative projects to drive digital transformation initiatives.
