About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development department specializing in Composite Insurance. In this role, you will take ownership of developing and maintaining applications within an agile environment, primarily targeting the composite insurance domain.

Your responsibilities will include close collaboration with product owners to understand and translate business requirements into technical user stories, ensuring seamless communication between technical teams and stakeholders. You will play a key role in continuously improving agile processes and methodologies within your team and across projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our development initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing modern technologies and methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a completed degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification, along with relevant professional experience. Extensive knowledge of Java development, particularly with Java and Jakarta EE, is essential.

Familiarity with modern tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is required. Practical experience working with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is highly valued. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily work processes is also necessary.

While experience with Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The candidate should demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Fluency in German at a minimum C1 level is essential for effective collaboration within our team and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining applications independently within an agile setting, with a primary focus on the composite insurance sector. You will work closely with Product Owners to understand requirements and translate them into user stories, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal implementation.

Collaboration with various Fachbereiche (specialist departments) will be essential to align technical solutions with business needs. You will actively participate in refining agile processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within your team and across projects. Additionally, you will ensure code quality through rigorous testing and automation, leveraging tools such as Selenium.

You will also stay updated with technological advancements and incorporate best practices into your work, fostering an innovative and efficient development environment.
