  • *About The Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development team specializing in Composite Insurance. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of application solutions within an agile environment. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating complex business requirements into functional and efficient software solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners and various Fachbereiche (specialist departments) to ensure that the technical implementation aligns with business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java and Jakarta EE, with a passion for continuous improvement of development processes and team collaboration.
  • *Qualifications**
The ideal candidate should have a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, complemented by relevant professional experience. A deep understanding of Java development, especially with Java and Jakarta EE, is essential. Familiarity with modern development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is required. Practical experience working with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is highly desirable. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily work routines is expected. Knowledge of legacy systems such as Cobol, SQL, or Mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Fluency in German at least at C1 level is mandatory to effectively collaborate within the team and communicate with stakeholders.
  • *Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the full lifecycle development and maintenance of applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables within an agile framework, with a specific focus on composite insurance applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand and interpret business requirements, translating them into clear, actionable user stories.
  • Engage with Fachbereiche to discuss and optimize the implementation of technical solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve agile processes and development methodologies to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold coding standards and ensure maintainability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions to improve application performance and security.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
