About The Role

We are seeking a Fullstack Softwareentwickler (m/w/d) Java / React to join our dynamic team at CHECK24, specifically within our KFZ-Versicherung (auto insurance) segment. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our innovative insurance comparison platform. Your primary focus will be on creating scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions that deliver real value to our users.

You will work on a variety of projects, ranging from new feature development to system optimization, utilizing modern frameworks and programming languages. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in the insurance industry, applying your technical expertise to build impactful products and integrate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence into our platform.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a successfully completed university degree in Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, or a related field, or an equivalent Ausbildung zum Fachinformatiker. Ideally, you have 1-2 years of professional experience in software development, supplemented by internships or working student positions. Proficiency in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript is essential, along with experience working with relational databases such as MySQL.

Practical knowledge of Spring Boot and React frameworks is required. A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), software design principles, and architectural concepts like layered and hexagonal architecture is important. Additionally, strong analytical skills, motivation to learn new technologies, and a sense of ownership are critical.

Excellent communication skills in German (C1 level) and the ability to work effectively within a team are also necessary.

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include developing new features for our insurance products using Java/Spring Boot and React/TypeScript, ensuring seamless integration across the full technology stack—from frontend interfaces to backend REST APIs and database components. You will be tasked with integrating AI functionalities, specifically large language models (LLMs), into existing and new system components to enhance automation and user experience. Optimizing and scaling our system landscape for performance, stability, and availability will be a key focus.

Maintaining high code quality through thorough code reviews, automated testing, and implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is essential. You will also contribute your own ideas, take ownership of features or components, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs and customer expectations.
