Fullstack Developer: TypeScript, React & Firebase

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐔𝐬 Medverse builds PC training simulations for medical devices, delivered via cloud streaming to enterprise healthcare clients. We're a small team building a scalable platform from scratch. This is an opportunity to shape both the product and how we work.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 You'll own the web side of our medical training platform: the portal and training pages our hospital users land on, while staying comfortable in the Firebase backend that powers them. You'll work in TypeScript across Next.js, HTML/CSS/JS pages, and Cloud Functions, on a multi-tenant product that's white-labeled per client. Our Unity training clients consume the same APIs, so exposure there is welcome but not required.

The role grows into our AWS AppStream deployment infrastructure as you ramp up.

𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐥 & 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 (𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬)

• Own and extend our Next.js 15 portal (App Router, React, TypeScript)
• Build and maintain our HTML/CSS/vanilla-JS client pages: SSO login, training catalog, launch flow
• Implement white-label theming so every hospital and partner tenant gets its own branding from shared design tokens
• Work in our shared design system package to keep the portal and the static pages visually consistent
• Turn designs into accessible, responsive markup: semantic HTML and CSS, not only component libraries
• Ship the server-rendered HTML shell and client-side JS behind the training launch experience
• Own page performance and the first-load experience on constrained hospital networks

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝

• Extend our Firebase Cloud Functions architecture (TypeScript, Node 22)
• Design and optimize Firestore data models for training progress, sessions, and analytics
• Build and maintain the API endpoints consumed by the portal and by our Unity clients
• Build and maintain authentication and authorization for the platform
• Implement background and scheduled jobs for data processing and synchronization

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡: 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

As you become familiar with our systems, you can expand into:

• AWS AppStream infrastructure for cloud-rendered PC/Linux applications
• Infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines across our multi-tenant Firebase projects
• Cross-service integration between Firebase and AWS

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• 3 years fullstack development experience with TypeScript
• Strong React and Next.js experience, including the App Router and Server Components
• Genuinely solid HTML and CSS: you can build and debug a page from scratch without a framework
• Backend experience with Node.js/TypeScript and REST API design
• Working knowledge of Firebase (Cloud Functions, Firestore, Authentication), or a track record of picking up a backend platform fast
• Understanding of web security fundamentals: auth flows, XSS, CORS, secrets handling
• Comfortable with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)

𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞

• Multi-tenant or white-label product experience
• Design system and design token work
• Accessibility standards (WCAG) applied in practice
• Experience with the LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) standard and LMS platforms
• Familiarity with Unity or game engine integration patterns
• AWS AppStream or similar cloud streaming/rendering experience
• Background in healthcare, medical simulation, or regulated industries
