About The Role

As an iOS Engineer, you will help advance the mobile experience for our global courier network. You will work on solutions that support couriers in their day-to-day work, contributing to reliable, intuitive software across a complex and evolving platform. This role calls for curiosity, initiative and a desire to understand systems in depth so you can help shape high-quality technical solutions.

Our iOS codebase is approximately 90% Swift, and our engineering teams are committed to modularization and Clean Architecture principles. You will collaborate with engineers, Product Managers and other partners to define, build and improve features from early product discussions through to delivery. The position reports to a Technology Manager and follows a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week in the office and two days working from home.

Qualifications

You bring substantial professional experience developing iOS applications with Swift and a strong foundation in object-oriented software engineering. You can write high-performance code that is readable, maintainable and designed with quality in mind. You have experience applying software design patterns such as MVVM, VIPER or MVP, and understand how to build decoupled, reusable components within a modular application.

You are comfortable integrating mobile applications with server-side APIs and working within a microservices environment. You can assess technical trade-offs, investigate complex problems and turn requirements into practical solutions.

Experience with challenges such as background location persistence, offline data synchronization or intelligent routing is relevant to the work. You value pair programming, constructive code reviews and sharing knowledge. Strong written and verbal English communication skills are important, as is the ability to adapt and collaborate in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of features and components throughout their lifecycle, from contributing to product definition and API contract discussions to implementation, testing and user interface delivery. Work closely with engineers and Product Managers in workshops to understand customer and courier needs, explore options and help define useful, achievable solutions.

Deliver high-quality software that follows team standards and supports the reliability, performance and maintainability of our iOS platform. Help address engineering challenges involving background location, offline capabilities and routing. Manage your work and timelines responsibly, communicate progress and risks clearly, and contribute to shared team goals.

Participate in rigorous code reviews and help improve our CI/CD deployment processes. Share useful development practices, patterns and standards with colleagues and contribute to the growth of the iOS guild. As a Trusted Committer in our inner source model, support contributing teams as they integrate features into the codebase. Collaborate openly and help create a positive environment for technical discussion and continuous improvement.
