• *About The Role**

We are seeking a skilled Java Integration Developer (m/w/d) to join our team in Essen. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices architectures that support our digital infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT architecture, operations, and external partners to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing evolution of our systems, ensuring seamless integration, high performance, and robust observability. The ideal candidate will have a passion for modern software development practices, cloud-native technologies, and a collaborative mindset to drive impactful projects forward.

• *Qualifications
• Several years of professional experience in Java development, with a focus on Spring Boot framework
• Practical knowledge of microservice architectures and their implementation
• Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and experience working with messaging systems such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus
• Proficiency in REST API design, system integration, and interface development
• Strong familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker containerization, and cloud-native application deployment
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including AKS, Azure Functions, API Management, and Azure Monitor
• Competent in version control workflows using GitHub, including pull requests and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing tools like OpenTelemetry and Datadog
• Analytical thinking, team-oriented attitude, and a structured, solutions-focused work approach

• Design, develop, and enhance microservices based on Java and Spring Boot to support business processes
• Implement event-driven solutions and integrate modern messaging systems to ensure real-time data processing
• Create and maintain REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and external partners
• Containerize services and orchestrate deployments within Kubernetes environments for scalability and resilience
• Develop, deploy, and operate applications in cloud environments, with a preference for Microsoft Azure
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, fostering efficient and automated deployment workflows using GitHub
• Ensure high observability of systems through logging, tracing, and monitoring using tools such as OpenTelemetry and Datadog
• Collaborate closely with IT architecture, operations, and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs
