We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Java Developer (m/w/d) for our Application Development team focused on Claims Management. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications that streamline and optimize the claims settlement process. Your expertise will help improve existing systems through bug fixing and performance enhancements, ensuring seamless operation and user satisfaction. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with business analysts to understand complex requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and contribute to the Agile development environment. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant professional background, including a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist in application development or a university degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification. Proven experience in Java development is essential, along with familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM. You should have strong knowledge of the Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) stack, version control with Git, continuous integration tools like Jenkins, and development environments such as IntelliJ IDEA. Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, RESTful services, and tools like Jira and Confluence is also required.
