About The Role
As a DevOps Engineer & Java Developer (m/w/d) in Input-Management with SmartFix & DocAI, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining the company's input management systems. Your primary focus will be on developing robust, scalable microservices using Java and cloud-native technologies, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and managing the operational stability of deployed applications.This role requires a proactive approach to DevOps practices, including automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of software solutions.
In this strategic position, you will collaborate within an agile squad to optimize existing software, develop new features, and integrate third-party SaaS solutions such as Google Cloud's DocAI. Your expertise will help streamline customer data processing, improve automation, and support the company's digital transformation initiatives. You will also serve as a technical product owner, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the input management ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Degree in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, or a related IT field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Initial experience in configuring and operating cloud environments, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Spring, with optional knowledge of Angular and Python.
- Hands-on experience with microservice architecture, REST APIs, and cloud functions.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices including Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of test frameworks like JUnit, Jest, Cypress, and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
- Understanding of clean code principles, agile methodologies, and team collaboration.
- Motivation to learn new architectures, technologies, and SaaS solutions like Google Cloud's DocAI.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including automation of testing and deployment processes to ensure high software quality.
- Develop, optimize, and operate microservices and software solutions, including the SmartFix platform by Insiders.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring smooth and continuous delivery of software updates.
- Design scalable, future-proof architectures leveraging Google Cloud technologies, focusing on input management systems.
- Enhance logic and algorithms for automated customer query recognition and processing to improve service automation.
- Integrate SaaS solutions like Google Cloud's DocAI into existing workflows, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.
- Develop robust connectors within the insurance-specific enterprise architecture to facilitate data exchange and system interoperability.
- Provide technical ownership for software components, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Refactor and improve code quality through best practices, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
